I’ve worked on many different kinds of projects over the last several years using several different technologies. From personal and intranet web sites (PHP) to corporate line of business applciations (C#). In some cases, I’m no longer involved and the reins were handed over to other people. Others are still in progress and some are still in the “That’s a pretty cool idea!” stage.
Hydra Service Desk
After working in Information Technology support roles for the last 15 years, I realized that most Help Desk software was lacking several key features needed to ensure a successful service department. Products that had full feature sets were outrageously expensive and out of the reach of most small and medium-sized businesses. Players Plus Admin
My current employer provides interactive entertainment to about 4000 restaurants and bars through North America. With a registered player base of over 4 million users, managing loyalty points and rewards can be quite a chore. The Players Plus Admin tool allows our Customer Service department to easily handle hundreds of player requests per week. From personal information changes to managing loyalty reward points, we can quickly merge player accounts, add points or transfer accounts to new home locations. Read More…
Corporate Dashboard
This dashboard website provided a quick glance into the metrics that we used to drive business decisions. Interactive charts provided the ability to drill-down into from annual metrics into monthly, daily and detail information giving the user instant access to the “Why?” behind the numbers. Adding new metrics from multiple data sources takes minutes and user level security ensured that sensitive data was protected. Read More…
The Gaming Asylum
After leaving UP, work began on another gaming related website. The Gaming Asylum’s (very ambitious) goal was to become a one-stop shop for FPS gamers. It provided a place to read the latest gaming news, download patches for a variety of games, monitor your favorite servers and track the people that you like to play with. Unreal Playground
The end of 1999 saw one of the most popular first person shooter (FPS) games come to light. Unreal Tournament provided a fast paced action games that offered level designers and content creators a platform to build and share their creations with the gaming community. Unreal Playground provided a central place for designers to distribute their content automatically while giving them a place to showcase their talent. Read More…
